Peonies are such beautiful flowers, but tend to a bit harder to grow than other flowers. They are worth the effort when you see their blooms.

The best time for planting peony plants is about 6 weeks before the ground freezes, in the fall.

Choose the location carefully. Make sure it's in a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight.

Choose a spot with good draining soil. It should be slightly acidic.

Make sure not to plant your peony roots too deep. Plant about 2 inches deep for the tallest bud.
